Inquiring minds want to know where everyone is planning to travel in 2023. Here is a list of what experts are saying will be the top travel destinations for the upcoming year.

Cairo, Egypt

Cairo is absolutely overflowing with history and culture. Not to mention, a short hour drive away takes you to Giza where experts have been building out the Grand Egyptian Museum over the last ten years. Its long- anticipated opening is set to occur in 2023 causing quite a buzz within the historical and architectural communities.

Las Vegas, Nevada

Sin City remains one of the most popular domestic travel destinations. This is quite impressive considering the uncertainty of the economy and the fact that conventions are still considerably smaller than what they were pre-Covid. Las Vegas shows no signs of slowing down. With mild temperatures, tons of attractions and even some family friendly activities, this is a great place to visit for everyone.

Peru

Peru and other destinations in South America are becoming increasingly popular. An article written by Caroline Bologna for huffpost.com explains, “Peru seems to be on the rise, even just in the past two months, and my prediction is that is going to carry through to 2023,” said travel blogger Esther Susag. “In general, people are excited to be able to travel again and are itching for some new adventures that are different from the classic European vacation. Destinations like Costa Rica and Peru are known for their scenery, national parks, gorgeous landscapes and wonderful cultures.”

A big reason behind the increasing popularity of Peru is the abundance of good travel deals for flying there without breaking the bank. Susag noted she found several airfare options for less than $300 round trip to Lima”

Japan

Japan was closed to tourists for two years during the pandemic. This last October saw all travel restrictions lifted in this stunning country. For this reason, experts are anticipating a large increase in travel to Japan. It’s rich in culture, beauty and culinary arts. The cost to visit this country is on the higher end, but travelers are expected to spend a longer amount of time in the country to get the most for their money.

Memphis, Tennessee

If music history and delicious food are must- haves when it comes to traveling, consider adding Memphis, Tennessee to your destinations in 2023. This city has poured a significant amount of resources into revitalizing their downtown area. It’s brimming with culture and history. Be sure to check out the Civil Rights museum while you’re there!

Montenegro

Montenegro is a less popular destination close to Dubrovnik in Croatia. Since their World Cup success in 2018, Croatia has seen a massive increase in tourism. 2023 will be no different with people excited to explore this stunning destination. Croatia is known for its history, culture, landscapes and activities.
