Disney Parks are some of the most popular travel destinations out there for both the young and young at heart. When you step into one of the parks, you are fully submerged into another world and you can forget about your troubles on the outside while you’re there. All of Disney’s parks whether it be in California or Florida are so immaculate in detail and cleanliness, so it make sense that the price for experiencing it will be on the high side. Here we have some tips and tricks for enhancing your Disney experience and making your vacation a little more magical.
Make a game plan
If you are planning a trip to Disney and are a major thrill seeker, don’t plan on it being a relaxing vacation. There are so many amazing rides and attractions there and the lines can be out of this world. The secret to hitting all your must-ride rides is having a game plan. The best way to ensure you ride your number one ride is to rope drop. This means getting there right as the park opens and the “rope drops” so you can run to the ride that has the longest wait time. This way you are guaranteed to ride it and not have to wait hours in line for it; thus opening up your day to ride more rides within that time you otherwise would have been waiting.
Invest in souvenir concessions
Disney is known for their amazing park food, and if you love to snack while in line here’s a little tip. If you buy the souvenir container, whether it be for popcorn or a soda, you are able to refill that container for a cheaper price. And here’s the amazing thing, you can keep that container and use it for as long as you have it. This means you can bring a popcorn bucket you bought 3 years ago into the park and they will still refill it for the lower price.
Take advantage of the other entertainment
Summertime is arguable one of Disney’s busiest times and also the hottest. A lot of park goers will take a break around lunch time and go back to the hotel to cool off a bit. Depending on where you stay, this can cut into your park time by a lot. A great suggestion is to check out some of the entertainment and shows Disney has in their parks. They put on musicals, animal encounters, short films, you name it. By staying and enjoying one of the shows or other entertainment available in the park you are able to sit down and cool off for an hour or two, then when you’re ready to hit the rides again you won’t waste time trying to make your way back into the park.
Disney definitely earns its reputation as the “happiest place on earth”. And when you are able to make that magic stretch a little further for you and your family using these simple tricks, it will make your vacation one to remember.
